Building Sustainability @ Cal

Bringing Greener Practices to Campus

Home: Welcome

What is BS@C?

A student run, on campus, Green Building Consulting and Support team

The Building Sustainability @ Cal Program, trains and utilizes students to help reduce the environmental footprint of campus buildings by educating building inhabitants and identifying structural and operational changes that can be made on buildings.

As LEED Green Associates, our students  learn and apply the basics of green building design principles while documenting LEED credits and BS@C's own Green Paw Certification credits. Equipped with a solid foundation in sustainable building ideals, our interns are ready for any green building project, be it research, consulting, or a new certification program! If you think BS@C could help on your project, please contact our supervisor, Diane Mayo, UC Berkeley Project Manager, at dianemayo@berkeley.edu.

BS@C is funded by The Green Initiative Fund at UC Berkeley. If interested in funding your sustainable project on campus, check out tgif.berkeley.edu.
